3D Simulation supports elastane function

A new milestone in 3D simulation has been reached.

An extended yarn model and new algorithms emulate the behavior of elastic yarn.

As a result the process of fabric shrinkage can be followed on the screen. Thereby for the first time  it is possible to analyse elastane effects by 3D simulation.

In addition the user has the ability to simulate the fabric under stretched condition.

These possibilities attract great interest at manufacturers of sportswear. For the first time it is possible to study the stretch effect of warp knitted fabric within a simulation process. Thus unwanted opening of holes and transparency effects may be discovered and eliminated during article development.
